Experienced, novice or just interested in learning more? Mitchell F&D Limited offers a range of flexible training programmes to suit everyone - from an introductory to advanced level.
The training on offer - developed out of 25 years of experience - is available in different ways:
- Most courses are now run from the new purpose-built Orchard Centre at Hartpury in Gloucestershire, conveniently located just off the M5 & M50 between the two main cider producing regions of the UK. The Orchard Centre also includes a small-scale commercial juice, cider, perry & fruit wine making facility, which is used during the courses and from which prize-winning products are available. Courses are offered on a number of occasions throughout the year. Subject to demand or a specific request, the training can also be undertaken in other locations in the UK.
- - Training in a wide range of specialist and advanced topics is also available. Courses can be arranged for individuals or groups according to demand - at a time, length and location appropriate to specific requirements.
- - Primarily based at the Mt. Vernon Research and Extension Unit of Washington State University, but also to be run at The New York State Food Venture Center, Cornell University, Geneva, NY, cider making courses are offered on a number of occasions throughout the year.
